The Auspicious Symbol of the Golden Fishes represents the happiness that arises from free and fearless movement. The fish are traditionally painted as carp, which are commonly regarded in Asia as elegant due to their size, shape, and longevity. This year, we have chosen this symbol to also invoke its qualities of potency and abundance and to celebrate our recent efforts to restore Cedar Creek to a natural habitat for our salmon.
